Razak Happy To Be Part Of The Sundowns Family

03/Aug/2017 10:02

Ghanaian international Brimah Razak has linked up with his new Mamelodi Sundowns colleagues in camp, and is confident that he will add value to his new team.

The Ghanian said after his arrival in the country that he knew the challenges that he will face, and that he needed to prove himself and earn his position.

Brimah said that he was happy to join a team like Mamelodi Sundowns, and had spoken to many players he knew in South Africa about joining the African champions. They had all spoken well about Sundowns and what he could expect, but he also knew that the South African domestic league was tough.

He said hat he has played in some of the top leagues in Europe, and competition was tough, and believed that he was ready to play in the Premier League in South Africa which he knew was just as competitive. He had, he said, gained a lot of experience playing in Europe, with and against dome top players. “La Liga is the best league in the world and competition there is really tough.”

“I am proud to have joined the African champions, and look forward to being part of the team that defends the title.”

The Ghana international said that playing in the CAF Champions League was one of the attractions for him to join Sundowns.” I know that Sundowns is a team that wants to win trophies, and I hope to be able to help the team achieve this.”

The Ghanaian said that he looks forward to playing for Sundowns, and had a warm welcome from his new team mates in camp as the African champions prepare for the new season.

Sundowns will open their new season with a MTN 8 clash at home to Maritzburg United, a game pundits believe will set the tone for the Brazilians campaign where they aim to regain the Absa Premiership title they lost to Bidvest Wits, and making their way past the quarter finals of the Confederation of African Football quarter finals.

“I am here to bring my experience, and look forward to showing the coach what I am capable of, and that I am good enough to be here. I need to convince the coach that I am good and he will decide who to field.”

He said that he had met Denis Onyango, who is the current number one glove man at Sundowns. “He is great, and I want to compete with the best. That is how you grow,” the Ghanaian number one said.
