Young Downs wallop Wahingdoh

The Mamelodi Sundowns under-17 side continued their explosive run the in the Gauteng Future Champions International Tournament with yet another emphatic win, this time a 3-0 win against Royal Wahingdoh from India at the Nike Centre in Soweto on Wednesday.

For the side coached by Godfrey Sapula, the match was academic as they had already qualified for the semi-finals where they are scheduled to meet defending champions Clube Atletico Minero from Brazil, a side they have already played against when they toured Brazil last year.

Notha Ngcobo opened the scoring for Sundowns when he netted from a free kick. Mpumelelo Hlatshwayo scored the second and Tshepiso Mbongwa the third, as the match ended 3-0.

The semi-finals will be played on Friday, 28 March 2014.
