Pitso Mosimane expects a much improved Black Leopards when Mamelodi Sundowns visit them at the Thohoyandou Stadium tonight.
While the Brazilians want to carry their goal scoring form in the CAF Champions League into their Absa Premiership title defence, the coach has said that it will not be a walk in the park against a team that has recently recruited a new man in Luc Eymael, who has already managed a winning start for Lidoda Duvha.
“It’s difficult to go there. It’s a new team with a new coach and that is never normal. What you will see is a team with a performance that goes lower or higher, but usually it’s higher up because players want to impress the new coach,” said Mosimane.
Sundowns were dominant over Leopards last season and will look for that record to continue after beating them 3-0 in February at Loftus Versfeld and then 2-1 in Thohoyandou two months later, although their technical team has now changed.
“The new coach is tough, we know that. Those who were not playing will want to show him they deserve a chance, so you can imagine what it happening in there. I think they have been training and working hard,” Mosimane added.
Sundowns are currently fourth on the log table after five matches, eight points behind leaders Kaizer Chiefs, who have played three games more.
Kick-off for what will be our sixth league fixture is at 7.30pm.

Today is my birthday, looking forward to having pleasant birthday present from you guys, pls pls doing disappoint.
Lebohang Maboe he’s a pure cow deserve to sit on a grand stand.
Our defense won us a game tonight. We have a very serious problem which need to be fixed urgently, our inability to keep a clean sheet, this means we can never win a game by solitary goal and that is not a good sign for a championship material.Kekana is a hard worker and what I’ve noticed is that he only plays 70 minutes and then get very tired,he is getting too old and need to be managed properly, hence we always struggle during that time.Tonight in the second half we never won any second balls,we totally lost middle field battle. We lacked energy and aggression in the middle.Special complement goes to Lebusa,Madisha and Lakay. Thanks for not spoiling my birthday in the last few ours of the my day.
Congratulations for a win Masandawana but I’m not convinced by team playing style. some players e.g Maboe is not Sundowns material, really we must face the reality. Where is Nghoma, what did he do to Pitso to hate him in such away that he cant give him even a single chance to prove to us that he is useless as he think. Pitso doesn’t have a plan B mentality. We won but not convincingly.
The Technical team got it right 100 % with the 1st 11. We played less back passes. We created so many chances, That’s a good sign. Yes we won but what makes me happy is that now we have a plan to deal with teams that park the busses. My only concern was our attacking players who didn’t assist Jali and Kekani to defend in the second half. Madisha keep it up boy. You have really have matured. Meza is making Pitso’s job difficult. He is doing well when given a chance unlike those who run to media and complain about game time.
Congratulations. The Technical Team & Pitso got it right with the 1st eleven & subs. The goal by Leopards was master class I will not blame the defense and I will say the same with Zwane’s goal, master class. I saw hunger, passion & commitment as well as the defensive game that I longing for especially when Seabi was brought in, he has the bite that is required in midfield that I never saw in Rivaldo. I also think Kekana should be subsituted after 60 minutes. I feel for the Technical Team because different opposition requires different tactics & team management but continue giving avery player a run and the one’s who raise their hands like Meza make us stronger & better.
