Mamelodi Sundowns are revelling in pride after the Confederation African Football announced the 2023 CAF Awards nominees on Wednesday evening. Among those nominees are goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, who is nominated for Interclub Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year, a category that has just been introduced, as well as striker, Peter Shalulile, who is nominated for Interclub Player of the Year and Player of the Year.
In addition, Mamelodi Sundowns have also been nominated for Club of the Year. Coach Rulani took a moment to congratulate the team for the nominations and the hard work they have displayed to be honoured by CAF.
“I would like to congratulate Mamelodi Sundowns for getting nominated for Club of the Year. I would also like to congratulate Ronwen Williams and Peter Shalulile for their various nominations. They are a reflection of the hard work that everyone is putting at the club and I just want to say big congratulations to them and everyone at the club,” said the Johannesburg-born tactician.
The prestigious CAF Awards will take place on 11th of December 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco, where Africa’s best will be acknowledged and celebrated for their outstanding performances on an interclub and international level.
