Born and bred in Kimberly, Esau’s career began in the dusty grounds as a young girl. Her first national call up was for the u/17 team at the age of 15 when she was scouted in a tournament in QwaQwa, Free State. It did not take long for the talented striker to join the High Performance Center (HPC) in Pretoria. In 2018 Esau tore her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) which threatened her career months before the World Cup Qualifiers with Banyana Banyana, however, her injury proved to be a blessing in disguise for Esau who is back in the National team and continues to score goals.
