Rushine played in all 30 league matches for his former club Maritzburg United and was named the Absa Premiership Defender of the Season for 2019/20. Rushine’s excellent performances earned him a move to join the Brazilians in January 2020 where his hard work and dedication led to him being honored with a role as Bafana Bafana vice captain for the 2021 COSAFA Cup, leading team SA to victory.
