The former top goal scorer and player of the  of the tournament joined Mamelodi Sundowns from the North West University (NWU) where she studied Business Management. Pila’s professional career began at an early age playing u/15 – u/20 in the ABSA regional league at Rosina Sedibane Sports School with the team eventually qualifying for the Sasol league.
