Adapting to the “New Normal”

It’s been two weeks in camp for the boys and they have responded very well to the circumstances and are adapting to the “New Normal”.

Coach Pitso Mosimane gives his input on how things are in camp, he told us that “training has been good and it has its challenges, the new training programmes like training in small groups and to train according to social distancing regulations. We were never equipped with this type of norm when we did coaching courses but we have to adjust and be innovative”.

The Brazilians are working in camp to ensure that when football returns they defend the league championship title.

“Even with match analysis, we have to set up in a balcony and put a projector because we can’t be in the conference room and it is challenging. You cannot hear the players when they talk because they are wearing masks”.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on our daily doings but also has made a challenge on how we can improve and come up with solutions.

As challenging the times are, we cannot let it deter our goals as a team and Coach Pitso acknowledges that and went on to say that “training under these regulations means you must be clever, must find alternatives. We not complaining, we been doing well. The tactical side has been a challenge because we can’t do 11v 11 so we train in departments”.

The Sky is the limit, Coach and MaSandawana. The “New normal” and circumstances it brings require innovation and leadership as well as trends which others will learn from.and follow.

Best Wishes to our soldiers, Lieutenants and General. Forward we march.
