Banyana Ba Style March Toward Glory With 14th Consecutive Victory

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies continued their fascinating run of form in the Hollywoodbets Super League with a 3-0 victory over the University of Pretoria in Saturday’s clash.

Goals from Boitumelo Rabale, Karabo Dhlamini and Melinda Kgadiete were enough to hand Banyana Ba Style their 14th consecutive victory and their 25th win of a truly extraordinary season.

The win over Tuks also brings the Brazilians closer to retaining their league title, as they require just one point from their last two games to secure an unprecedented fifth consecutive league title.

Bambanani Mbane, who captained the side on the day and delivered a masterful defensive performance as the team claimed their eighth consecutive clean sheet, praised the team’s overall showing.

“The three points were crucial for our title push and I am proud of the team’s effort. It was not an easy game, but we stayed focused and managed to keep a clean sheet, which is always important for our confidence and defensive strength. We knew that they would come out strong, but we remained disciplined and stuck to our game plan. Everyone played their part, from defense to attack, and that’s what makes this team so special.”

Lebohang Ramalepe also shared her thoughts on the match, highlighting the team’s determination.

“It was a high-intensity game and our main focus was to get maximum points. We knew dropping points was simply not an option, so we had to stay sharp and maintain our composure throughout the game. Every opportunity in front of goal mattered and we had to be clinical. It is that level of focus and determination that has carried us through the season. The team’s chemistry has been incredible and knowing we are so close to achieving something historic kept everyone motivated. Now, we just need to carry this momentum into the final games and finish the job.”

The Brazilians have now amassed 77 points this season, with an impressive 25 wins in 28 matches. They lead the league with 107 goals scored while conceding just 12, boasting the league’s strongest defense. Remarkably, the team has a goal difference of +95.
