Chairman’s Open Letter To The supporters

Masandawana, I share this message with you all as I reflect on the special scenes that we saw at Loftus Versveld on Saturday afternoon.

What took place on the pitch, was undoubtedly a great display of Champions League football against one of best teams on the continent, with credit proudly owed to our players, our coach, and the technical team. The primary reason why I write this message is to humbly thank all who came to the stadium and supported Mamelodi Sundowns in this crucial encounter against one of our strongest rivals on the continent.

Witnessing our home stadium in a sea of yellow was a very inspiring moment for everyone in this Football Club. The voices of the supporters and the songs from the stands, lifted the spirits of every player on the field, and pushed us to play so fearlessly and achieve that memorable result.

One of the key factors that contribute to the success of football clubs is their passionate supporters, teams that we compete against on the continent, are testament to that. Yes, they have incredible players and skilled staff – but just like every organisation in the world, it is the people that make them great. We are starting to replicate this show of unity, and I believe this type of culture will reap incredible rewards.

Though our campaign in the CAF Champions League is far from over, and we are still striving for domestic success, Saturday’s performance on the pitch and in the stands is proof that with our supporters faithfully behind us, Mamelodi Sundowns can achieve great things.

This message of gratitude is also a request to continue believing. Continue believing in our players. Continue believing in our Coach and our technical staff. And most of all, continue believing in yourselves- your presence makes all the difference..

Thank you once again, it was truly a special Saturday.
