A tightly contested clash against Highlands Park at Dobsonville ended in a stalemate as Mamelodi Sundowns played to a one-all draw. The games are coming thick and fast and this was the third game in a space of six days.
“We don’t complain about the number of games, we have played games back to back but the challenge is the long lay off and not having proper training, to get the rhythm that we are used to is not easy and you can see, I am not happy that we did not win the game,” said Coach Pitso Mosimane.
The Brazilians have collected two points in two games and will now turn their focus to Cape Town City who they face on Monday at Loftus Versfeld. The Citizens registered their first win against Chippa United yesterday.
“It is good to give the younger ones a chance, the younger ones recover quicker,” Coach Pitso Mosimane commented on Promise Mkhuma’s debut. “It is always a tough game against Cape Town City, they like to play like us at Sundowns. They are a ball playing team but we will continue,” concluded Coach Pitso Mosimane.

You cant be blaming it on rhythm not coming back Pitso. Sundowns has a deep squad of players to choose from, and those players want to prove themselves, but not when you wants to play your favourite Kekana, Coetzee. Every coach knows that is in the middle field where you either make it or break it. But will you make it with the combination of Kekana and Coetzee. No Pitso must start taking us Downs family serious. Unless his focus is in 2023 wherein he will be leaving us,but still he should not be let leaving behind mess like his predecessor Johan Nieskeens
But the way Pitso, out of 6 points you collected only two. No pun intended, just refreshing your mind
Thank you coach for being honest.
We look forward to the next match.
Don’t worry yourself coach about armchair critics who have won nothing for the team. You have made this team No1 many times, we will give you the space to do your work…our role as supporters is to be behind the team, and not play self appointed coach. We have no business telling you how you must pick your team, ours is to play our role as supporters.
Sundowns always leaves a mark in the game✊
