Exclusive sit down with Keletso ‘Aguero’ Makgalwa

Twenty-nine games down and one to go and the tension is so thick not even a knife slice through it. Mamelodi Sundowns are sitting in position two with the same number of points as the log leaders – the only division being goal difference. The last match of the season is against Black Leopards at Dobsonville Stadium at 15:30.

Keletso Makgalwa recently shared how the Brazilians are gearing up for the last league game of the season, “from the last game, I think we played very well, we managed to get goals, so we are confident going to the next game we want to score more goals.”

Keletso Makgalwa has been one the goal-getters since the resumption of football after lockdown, he has already scored against Bidvest Wits in the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup as well as against Cape Town City and Polokwane City.

“We’re fighting for the league. So we spoke as guys, especially the upfront guys, to help the team to score goals. We are confident that we’re going to win with a huge margin of goals. You know, when I am in the box I relax and I watch my surroundings first before I do anything. Go check on my left side and my right side and check the goalkeeper, where he is then I take a breather. Then that’s why I decide what I want to do with the ball, you know, so they’re more relaxed. I relax in the box. I make the goalkeeper do what I want to do,” said Makgalwa.

‘Aguero’ also had a message of support for the fans who have been with the side in good times and in bad times, “Masandawana, you have been supporting us throughout the season, we want to make sure as a team we win the league today. So support is within our hearts.”
