Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies extended their impressive form in the Hollywoodbets Super League with a commanding 4–0 triumph over First Touch FC Ladies at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Banyana Ba Style delivered a clinical and disciplined performance, ensuring their unbeaten run remained intact while further underlining their attacking firepower.
The game saw the home side establish control early on, with relentless pressure and fluid passing keeping First Touch pinned in their half. The breakthrough arrived in the 20th minute when Refilwe Tholakele unleashed a thunderbolt strike from outside the box. The Brazilians continued to dictate the tempo, and their persistence was rewarded just before the halftime whistle as Nthabiseng Majiya doubled the advantage in the 44th minute, calmly slotting home after a well-worked move.
The second half brought no relief for the visitors as Banyana Ba Style maintained their high intensity. In the 61st minute, Munashe Mugwara added a third goal, showcasing composure and precision to put the contest firmly out of reach. Majiya then sealed her brace in the 82nd minute, finishing clinically to round off an emphatic 4–0 win that delighted the home supporters.
Reflecting on the performance, defender Karabo Dhlamini praised the team’s efforts but challenged her teammates to demand even more of themselves.
“We did very well today, and scoring four goals was a reflection of the hard work we put into the match. At the same time, I still felt that we could have done even more, especially in the final third, where we created chances that we did not fully capitalize on. As a team, we are always striving to improve, and this result gives us confidence but also reminds us that there is still room to raise our standards. What impressed me most was the discipline we showed in defense and the way we controlled the game from start to finish.”
There was also a special moment for Jabulile Mbatha, a youngster recently promoted to the senior squad, who made an appearance in the game. The promising talent expressed her excitement and determination to develop within the team.
“It was a very good Sunday game for me, and I am grateful to have been allowed to play a part in the victory. The intensity of the match was very high, and it showed me the level of work and concentration required to compete at this stage. Personally, I know that I have to continue working very hard in training to reach the standard of my teammates, but I am encouraged by the support I have received from the players and the technical staff.”
With this result, the Brazilians have now registered 15 wins and two draws from 19 matches, further strengthening their position in the league standings. Their success has been driven by goals spread across the team, with Boitumelo Rabale leading the way with 10 strikes. Melinda Kgadiete and Nthabiseng Majiya have both scored seven times, while Nonhlanhla Mthandi has contributed six. Isabella Ludwig follows with five goals, Refilwe Tholakele has four, and Munashe Mugwara and Noxolo Cesane have each found the net twice. In addition, Lehlogonolo Mashigo, Tiisetso Makhubela, Bambanani Mbane, and Katleho Malebana have all registered once this season.
