Free Entry For All Dressed In Yellow

Mamelodi Sundowns’ supporters wearing the club’s regalia will gain free entrance at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Friday night in the Caf Champions League encounter.

The Brazilians host Togolese side AS Togo-Port at 9pm in the third match of the group stage. Bafana BaStyle will need the 12th men to come to the party in a must-win match against AS Togo-Port. Sundowns have collected just three points from their first two games which means that they must make up for their slow start in the remaining three matches.

The positive is Wydad Casablanca, in first place in Group C, are only three points ahead of Sundowns. The 2016 African champions will host Togo-Port and Horoya in their remaining home matches. Their only other match on the road in the group stage will be a trip to Morocco against Casablanca. Sundowns find themselves in this position because of their 1-0 loss in Togo last week.

“It was one of the easiest games we have played in the Champions League,” Sundowns’ coach Pitso Mosimane said. “But possession doesn’t win you games, you must score. This now means that we have to win our home games. If you don’t win your home games, then it’s done because you will not go to the knockout stage. We are under pressure now. We have to win.”

Fans who won’t be wearing Sundowns’ regalia will pay R20 to get access to this crucial Champions League clash.

“The three-point gap Wydad has puts everyone on the soup, that no one has really qualified. We all have to play for it. That’s good,” Mosimane said.
