I Really Missed This Feeling – Thabiso Kutumela

Mamelodi Sundowns’ forward Thabiso Kutumela grabbed a second half brace as The Brazilians dished out six goals in their Nedbank Cup last 16 encounter on Tuesday evening against Mathaithai FC.

Masandawana became the first team in the DStv Premiership to advance to the quarter final round of the 2021/22 Ke Yona Cup competition after brushing aside Mathaithai FC 6 – 0 in Tshwane. Kutumela highlighted his impressive turnaround following a convincing second half performance by the 28-year-old striker.

“My first half started off slow, I made some wrong decisions in some situations such as deciding to pass the ball when I should’ve taken a shot, or deciding to go for goal instead of passing, but I did enjoy that first half. In the second half I played much better, my game picked up and eventually I scored two goals which I think will boost my confidence going forward.”

“After the first half ended and we were heading into the break, I was not happy with myself because I could see that the attackers in the team were scoring and I haven’t scored in a while but at least we all scored as attackers today and I’m also amongst the goalscorers.”

Reflecting on the incredible night after the restart, Kutumela felt his brace had lifted his spirit as an attacker and expressed a cheerful attitude. He said, “I felt really good after scoring, I’ve been wanting to score goals, I missed this feeling of scoring because it has been a while since I’ve scored goals. The first goal was a tap in, I had to work harder for the second one and probably get the third one too.”

Masandawana will now turn their full attetion to the upcoming CAF Champions League encounter against Al Ahly that takes place this weekend. The Brazilians will be looking to repeat their exploits in Egypt and secure another victory over the Red Devils to consolidate their position at the top of Group A.

Muzi n zakhele agreed brothers that’s what gives North Africa advantage they shoot l thought we should be doing the same now. But we have not learned if you remember the goal Onyango conceded in Egypt last year and how Chiefs were knockout in the final by Al alhaly

If my beloved Downs can shoot even outside the eighteen area with the best players we have no team can match us even on Champs League.
We can abolish the so called piano and shoeshine to me its outdated,I’m watching PSG vs Madrid now yoh that team is ruthless defenders are in trouble especially Mbape.
Our players they want to reach even penalty spot with too many unnecessary touches and that’s is our downfall, let’s not obsessed with beautiful football and good ball possession with only one goal to show at the end of the game,we need goals and I wish the main culprit Zwane to starts off the bench in our game against All Ahly, let’s select players on merit not on reputation I plead to you Wisemen.

My team Sundowns needs to start shooting from outside the box. We want to dribbled inside the net it’s not always possible.
Please do me a favour as a team win against Ah Ahly on Saturday.
We readily need to collect the second star ⭐️ Thina we will support you from the comfort of our homes, thank you 🙏🏽

I think we are getting there, 2 beautiful goals against Galaxy from outside the area and Jali’s strike the other day, its an indication that they are working on it. Mudau did mention that they are practicing shooting from outside, lets just hope they continue. Good luck for tomorrow
