The Tshwane derby takes centre stage today, the two top sides in the log standings do battle for the bragging rights of the capital city at 15:00 today. Mamelodi Sundowns go into the clash as log leaders and have not registered a defeat. Masandawana are two points above SuperSport United and will be going out to make sure that the unbeaten streak continues.
“The preparations went well as we had more time to invest on the training pitch. We are working on making sure we integrate all our players and make sure that everyone is ready to play and be able to understand our different schemes with possession and without possession. We used this week not only to prepare for SuperSport United but to prepare the group to make sure they understand our type of thinking according to our structure”, said Coach Rulani Mokwena.
The last time Masandawana played Matsatsantsa in the league, the result was 2-1 with Themba Zwane and Thapelo Morena scoring on the day.
Coach Rulani Mokwena said that coming up against a side like SuperSport United “It’s an important game as it is a derby with bragging rights at stake. If we play the match and not the occasion we will be alright. We shouldn’t be carried away by the event, and we should play the event as a 11v11 which has difficult questions that will be posed by the opposition which we will have to answer. We will also have to ask the questions and once we do that we will impress our personality onto the match we will be okay. We must do that without undermining the derby and we have to keep going and get the right results on the league title”.
The game kicks off at 15:00 and will be broadcasted on SuperSport PSL
Against Jwaneng I complained abt Maboe, last weekend against Baroka,I complained abt the same player, and to my surprise he was in the starting line up today, and no prices for guessing that he gave a very poor performance AGAIN!!!!!
