It will be a great birthday present to beat Cape Town City – Lakay

Mamelodi Sundowns take on Cape Town City at Loftus Versfeld, this is game number four in nine days. Football in the BSE has been a challenge and Coach Pitso Mosimane has acknowledged that. Two Absa Premiership games have been played and out of six points, Masandawana has collected two.

Lyle Lakay who has donned the colours of the Citizens said that a team in their position is very dangerous, as much as we are fighting for the league they are also fighting to be in a better position. “We expect them to come out with everything, this is the time in a season where everyone is fighting.”

The Citizens collected maximum points in their opening game in the “Bubble” against Chippa United. Clashes against the Cape Town side are always a spectacle. In the previous seven meetings, a total of sixteen goals have been scored between the sides and nine of those were scored by Masandawana. The Brazilians have registered four wins out of the seven clashes.

The left wingback is celebrating his birthday today and he shared his feelings on playing his former team, “it will be a good birthday present, last year on the same day we played them and it was a draw. I trust we will get three points tonight so I can have a great one.”

The match takes place at a familiar hunting ground for Mamelodi Sundowns, even though the game is an away game Loftus has been a good home for the Brazilians.

The match will kickoff at 18:00 and will be broadcasted on SuperSport 4.

Its becoming very difficult day by day now that we r playing as if we r competing in a charity spectacular.Very few days apart no time 2 recuperate,or to regain lost energy or 2 rest anyway. But lets take this fixture congestion as a challenge bcoz it is what it is;this corona has left a trail of hardships 4 everybody.Goodluck Masamdawana wishing u all the best in these remaining games.

Sad story about my team is that they are the low starters , it’s seem like it’s the start of the season

Look at this team lineup… I don’t think coaches know who’ to play… WHY don’t we go all out, from the word go…no striking force… while Meza sitting out.. Laffor,Magalwa, Makhuma… this game is for taking…now Rivaldo can play at the back… Pisto thought he is too clever… we’ve been ask Rivaldo to play at the back…but Pisto was to clever… even if we win…we tired of him doing things when it’s suit’s him… always trying to prove a point….

What a boring game. So many schoolboy errors from our players. No need to watch the game, I’ll just check the results after the game

No guys maybe angilazi ibhola,is Maboe better than Laffor,Mahlambi and Meza I don’t think so,that guy is a passenger on the field he must go serious.
What is that our coach sees at him we don’t see thina ma Brazilians.I repeat we will win this league this season because of the inconsistency of Chiefs not that We were good.

Muzi I don’t see Sundowns gain momentum soon, if you may racall we always start the season slow and finish stronger unless if Kaizer CHIEFS fail to capitilise

Guy’s I said it..every time u say this about PISTO stupidity, people here says u have a problem with him ..he is selfish and arrogant… thinks he is the best…sis*man”*

We are busy giving old players long term contracts as if we owe them something, its not only Barca that needs an overhaul including Sundowns needs that but come next year We will go for old players and I don’t know what’s the job of the Technical Director if Pitso do the way he please.

Let’s recall Nyiko Mobie and sign a good young central defender but guys We still have a good player in Bangaly its that akathandwa.

Pitso is becoming bigger than Sundowns now;no matter the board of governors were so reluctant&hesitant to extend Pitso’s stay at Sundowns only 4 Motsepe 2 come 4 his rescue&gave him a 4 year stay. This time around Im seeing a Pitso who’s accumulating&milking Motsepe’s money 2 go 4 his youth development project. But what bothers me is the constant inclusion of Maboe as a striker;a player who last score on the 1st day of the season against Supersport;wow Pitso can have such faith on his favourites. If he was so consistent with Laffor;Meza&Jali we would b on on the summit of the log;instead of lomsangano wale finder-finder yale bhola yakhe.Sundowns is not creating enough scoring chances 2 score lot of goals but instead is complaining about penalties&favours not given to him.Im feeling sorry 4 these youngsters like MargermanDomingo Goss&Kapinga that will b frozen to accommodate Pitso’s crazy ideas of rewarding Mabunda;Kekana&all these aging players game time only bcoz of past reputations than being on merit. We need a strong central defender asap.

This is the 1st time I’m not hurting by Downs’ bcoz I was expecting it.What is so special about Kekana to play every game, the poor tries to press both right and left back and the keeper leaving a big void in the middle hence we are always been dominated in the middle. We have turned into a charity organization,we donated long term contracts to old undeserving players, including the coach, now we donating points and also a league to Chiefs. We don’t owe those old players anything, yes they helped us but, they were paid big money .We knew who were up against yet we put a unfit and very slow Adrense. This heavy workloads needs creative and young players. We are losing bcoz of old experienced players. This is unbearable no more.Watching Downs play is like watching the same movie many times and expect different results. Our problem is worse than the Barca one bcoz management are doing nothing about the current situation and seems not to care about the team,if they were watching our games those contracts donation would not have happened and also the signing of an old Maluleke, the guy was costing Chiefs, the same as Pieterse, they is not a good keeper he just have a body of a good keeper.Hope something will be done about our beloved team b4is too late.

Mabunda, Arendse are a waste..!! When they are playing, you must know that we are going to lose or draw that game. Kekana is ageing now. I blame the coach for last nights loss. He doesn’t have plan B, as always. Since Pitso started coaching Sundowns, he’s never had a solid defense. But he is busy signing midfielders. I don’t know what Kennedy Mweene is still doing at Sundowns. Maboe is off form, but he is always playing. Laffor sitting on the bench..! This coach is a big joke, he is lucky he is coaching Sundowns, otherwise he would be fired withing 3 months if he was coaching another team. We need defenders. Mxm.. Pitso is all Talk talk..

all our players were very rusty and no one to blame , as we all know we start very badly season after season . i still believe we will pull it off, if not ,it was never meant to be. i am pissed & disappointed .Caf awaits , potential two trophies is better than nothing . Yellow DNA i remain
