Mamelodi Sundowns showed their dominance in the South African football fraternity as they scooped most of the accolades at the Premier Soccer League Awards. The night was to celebrate all those that played a significant part in the 2019/20 season.
The first award for Masadawana on the night was given to Gaston Sirino as he was named the Telkom Knockout Player of the Tournament.
Academy graduate Keletso Makgalwa received recognition on the night as he was awarded the Nedbank Cup Most Promising Player of the Tournament, the Limpopo born put on some great performances in the Keyona Cup as he contributed with some crucial goals.
Captain Hlompho Kekana won the Goal Of The Season for the spectacular effort he scored against Cape Town City.
Newcomer Peter Shalulile also bagged the Absa Premiership top goal scorer for the 2019/20 season together with Gabadinho Mhango.
Former Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane also picked up coach of the season and the PSL Annual Chairman’s award.
The biggest winner of the night was Themba Zwane as he scooped Midfielder of the Season, Player’s Player of the Season and the biggest accolade of the night – Footballer of the Season.
