Masandawana out to continue the unbeaten streak in Venda

There are two games left in the first half of 2020/21 DStv Premiership Season and Mamelodi Sundowns sit top of the table with twenty-seven points. There are only two teams who have not been defeated and the Brazilians will want to continue on that unbeaten run as they take on Black Leopards today.

“In relations to what we are expecting, the preparations have gone very well. We just came from a difficult match against Swallows and now we are travelling to Venda which is energy-consuming. We have prepared for this game as they are a difficult side to face, they are fighting to keep their premiership profile”, said Coach Rulani Mokwena ahead of the encounter

The last time Masandawana played Lidoda Duvha was one of the biggest days in the history of the club as they secured the unprecedented 10th league title in the PSL ‘bio-bubble’.

“They do have some quality players and they play the high press type of game, they have scored some goals from their aggressive high press situation. They use Roderick Kabwe, Ovidy Karuru and Ramagalela to initiate the press. The coach Dylan Kerr is no longer there, they have a new technical team. They are a running side and we have seen how they play when they play big teams. You see how they use their environmental conditions to their advantage when they play you at home. We should be ready for a difficult game and I think this will be one of those difficult games we have played this season”, concluded Rulani Mokwena.
