Masandawana Ready to Take on Stellenbosch in League Action

Mamelodi Sundowns are on the road this weekend to do battle with Stellenbosch FC on Saturday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.

Masandawana came back from a big game against Kaizer Chiefs, where the spoils were shared. This weekend sees them taking part in another action-packed encounter in the winelands.

Looking ahead to the mouthwatering clash against Stellies, Iqraam Rayners said the Brazilians anticipate a very tough Stellenbosch side, who are on a winning streak.

I think Stellenbosch has a lot of confidence right now. Obviously, they are coming from a cup semifinal, which they won, and they won their last league game,” he said.

In their last three games,  Masandawana have played in sold-out stadiums, and the Yellow Nation has come out in numbers in all the fixtures. The 29-year-old encouraged the Yellow Nation to come out in numbers for this encounter, too.

It’s going to be a tough game, and they still fight them. We will also need to give our all and get the desired result. It’s going to be a difficult game for us. We will need to give our utmost best and kill the game fast, especially in the first half,” the forward concluded.

Mamelodi Sundowns will clash against Stellenbosch FC on Saturday afternoon at Athlone Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 15H00, live on SuperSport TV.
