The Mamelodi Sundowns Diski Team are gearing up for their third game of the season, to take on newly promoted Magesi FC on Saturday morning at Giant Stadium. The young Brazilians, who are coming from another triumphant weekend, will be looking to make it three wins in a row. As they look ahead to another home game, coach David stated that preparations have been going well.
“On the mood in the camp after last week’s win, the boys are very motivated. The mood is very positive and they are happy for having won the last two games. That generates a lot of confidence and belief in what we have worked on. Things are looking very positive and there is a lot of work that is being done behind the scenes,” he said.
He further mentioned that there have been a few injury concerns but is confident that the squad is strong enough to have another successful weekend, saying: “So far so good. Things are looking sharp into the preparations for this game. The concern for this game is a few injury knocks that happened during training this week, but we have quality players that can produce positive results.”
On taking on Magesi this weekend, the Masandawana coach said they will not be resting on their laurels and will perform at their level best.
“We are playing against another team that is new. They just got promoted in the league and we don’t know much about them. We will, however, remain humble and respect our opponents. The players have put a lot of hard work with a lot of intensity and positivity in preparing for this match,” he concluded.
The Mamelodi Sundowns Diski Team will take on the Magesi Reserves on Saturday morning at Giant Stadium. Kick-off is set for 10H00.
