Mulaudzi joins FC Dinamo Minsk in Belarus

The rate of South African ladies football players signing deals overseas has been on the rise recently with Rhoda Mulaudzi of the Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Team being the latest to follow this trend and has penned a six-month contract with FC Dinamo Minsk.

“I have just joined FC Dinamo Minsk, I was supposed to have made the move in March but due to the National lockdown, I could not travel. It is something I have been looking forward to as I had a great season with Mamelodi Sundowns ladies side in the SAFA National Women’s League”.

Mulaudzi is joined by Lebohang Ramalepe at her new club, the two players signed at the same time with Belarus outfit. The striker is not new to international football as she played in Australia for Canberra United and in Cyprus for Apollon FC Lemesos.

The Banyana striker was part of the inaugural SAFA National Women’s League and bagged her self a Championship medal and league’s top goalscorer with thirty-six goals in sixteen matches.

“I believe hard work pays and I must acknowledge that we had a great season and I ended up as the league’s top goalscorer and that is something that motivated me and gave me confidence that I can make it in any competitive league. I want to thank President Dr Patrice Motsepe, my Coach Jerry Tshabalala, my teammates who I could not have achieved my goal tally without and also the fans who were there for us all the time”, said Mulaudzi.

The 30-year goal poacher old joins Banyana International Bambanani “Juice” Mbane and she believes that seeing a familiar face will ease up the process and thus ensuring that she brings her good form from last season to the new club. Mamelodi Sundowns spoke to Mulaudzi she said that Mbane played a huge role in her making the move to Belarus.

“I want to share a special message to my former teammates and to say that they must just keep working hard, anything is possible in football. The love and care we had for one another are next to none, stay together as a team and keep fighting”, concluded Mulaudzi.
