Onyango Ruled Out Of Arrows Match

Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Golden Arrows at Lucas Moripe Stadium in the MTN8 on Saturday afternoon without Denis Onyango.

The Brazilians’ and Uganda’s No. 1 was rushed to hospital just before halftime in the 2-0 win over Polokwane City on Tuesday at Peter Mokana Stadium. The doctors confirmed that Onyango had a concussion and a swollen lip. He hasn’t trained with the team since that injury with the doctors ordering Onyango to not put much stress on his head.

George Lebese will also miss the clash with Arrows along with Cuthbert Malajila and Oupa Manyisa.

Lebese has a knock on his leg while Malajila has a knee injury and Manyisa is nursing a hamstring.

Ricardo Nascimento will undergo a late fitness test to determine his availability in the start of the only tournament that Sundowns haven’t won under coach Pitso Mosimane.
