Lindani wanted an opportunity to be a part of the Mamelodi Sundowns 50th anniversary as they are celebrating a huge milestone this year. He considers himself a huge fan of the Mamelodi Sundowns FC.
The winning song that he composed was inspired by the vibe that supporters have when they are at stadiums.
The last game that he attended was when Sundowns was playing against Golden Arrows and there were heavy rains however, the Mamelodi Sundowns supporters never stopped singing and this was a clear demonstration of the unity that exists amongst fans and the love shown to the team no matter what. Lindani worked on the song with a few of his friends who are also supporters of the team.
He is excited that his song won for August. The prize money will assist him while he continues to look for employment opportunities as an unemployed graduate.
“Winning the million would be life-changing for me. I will use a portion of the money to start my own company also share it with the people that helped me with the song. The rest will be used to help take of my family.” Said Lindani
