Preparations were not easy, they were tough, everyone was strained – Komphela

Seven games later Mamelodi Sundowns are still at the summit of the log standings with seventeen points, five wins and two draws and no loss registered. Last night’s clash against TS Galaxy was the first time the two sides met and what a great way to start against the newbies.

Coach Steve Komphela spoke to the media after the game and said that “Preparations were not easy, they were tough, everyone was strained not only mentally but also emotionally. We played with the same ease that we always find at Mamelodi Sundowns. We played against an arrogant TS Galaxy who play with pride and I could see in the last five minutes of the first half we suffered. We delighted with three points and we move on.

Next clash for Mamelodi Sundowns is Golden Arrows away from home and the clash against Abafana Besthende promises to be a humdinger and only maximum points will be a top prize.

“Our players understood that we are in a position of convenience and perform and give great results. It has not been easy and from the game, you could see the emotions from the players after the game and shows that it meant a lot to them” said Coach Komphela.

Themba Zwane scored his seventh goal for the season and Coach Steve Komphela touched on “Mshishi’s” performance and said that “Zwane is a player who players effortlessly, he is only getting better. look at the goal he scored, he just picked the spot and that shows he plays without stress, he is composed and is happy. I still see a room for improvement in his game. He needs to go to a room of discomfort and then you will see he can be a monster”, concluded Coach Steve Komphela.

Let me salute our President for bringing such person in Steve Khompela,I admire that guy since his days at Free State Stars what an intelligent coach not forgetting also Manqoba and Rhulani.
Its true they’re wisemen into abayikhulumayo even you are not assocciated with Downs you pay attention and listen, even our rivals are now envying them and keep on saying we are luck to have and people are eating humblepies now just because what they said in the beginning about three coaches is proving them wrong.
We play nice football with goals We are happy and I can’t wait for us to be allowed to be back in stadiums its painful to watch this team on television.
