Haashim Domingo is one of many who joined Mamelodi Sundowns in the recent transfer window. The 25-year old signed from the now defunct Bidvest Wits and has made five appearances in a Sundowns jersey thus far. The Cape Town-born attacking midfielder recently took some time out and spoke about how he has fared since joining the club.
“So far the team is doing well and collecting points and you always want to be part of it and contribute more. When the time is right everything will fall into place”.
Domingo plays as a midfielder, which is one of the most fiercely competitive positions in the squad. The former junior national team player touched on the fact that having competition is good for any player’s growth:
“Being surrounded by the calibre of players that we have at the club is good for one as you learn a lot from the senior guys. The team is coming together and we have this identity at the club which makes us want to be better and do more by winning games and collecting trophies. So far it has been good and will get better.”.
Masandawana currently sit on top of the DStv Premiership and have yet to lose a league game this season.
“Being on top means that everyone makes you a target and that you are hunted every week, that for us means we must be motivated to stay there and take it one game at a time. We are motivated and not under pressure to be there and we are focused. We wanna make sure we are there until the last game”.
But why not telling us about the signing of Rushine De Reuck from Maritzburg such that we have to read from other tabloids.Anyhow, given the number of injuries by Sundowns defenders, that was bound to happen.Hope he gel well with his teammates, for CAF competition is just around the corner
Lamamelodi member it’s a SHAME some people get paid for no reason..we always have to hear from social media..on new signing..at SUNDOWNS… anyway WELCOME HOME DE REUCK..TO THE HOME OF CHAMPIONS.. you deserve it 👆👆
The best defender from Maritzburg United hS joined the best en big team in Mzansi. Sundowns is not just big by being talkative too much (from their supporters), it’s big by winning trophies. Konje ksasa, Chippa United would be all de way from Eastern Cape to bring 3 points at Loftus. It’s a pleasure to announce that Sundowns would have 33 points at 5 pm ksasa.
