Sundowns Ladies Dominate Hollywoodbets Super League Award Nominations

After successfully defending their Hollywoodbets Super League title, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies have several players nominated in various categories, as the Hollywoodbets Super League has released the list of awards for its end-of-the-season ceremony.

The Brazilians are recently celebrating a clean sweep of domestic and continental titles for the second time in three years.

Boitumelo Rabale earned a nomination for the Hollywoodbets Super League Player of the Season award, recognizing her pivotal role in Banyana Ba Style’s treble triumph. This nomination marks a remarkable year for the dynamic forward, who previously claimed the same award last season.

Her accolades extend to winning the Best Player of the Tournament at the recent CAF Women’s Champions League in Ivory Coast. In total, Rabale has notched an impressive 24 goals across all competitions this season.

Chuene Morifi has secured a nomination for the Hollywoodbets Super League Fan’s Player of The Season, a recognition of her consistent performances throughout the season. The left-footed dynamo boasts 6 goals in the league and an additional three in the COSAFA Qualifiers tournament.

Once again, Coach Jerry Tshabalala finds himself nominated for the Hollywoodbets Super League Coach of The Season, showcasing his remarkable leadership as he guided his team to a second sweep in just three years. Coach Jerry also claimed this award in the previous season.

The Sundowns Ladies continue to shine, with a presence in the Hollywoodbets Super League Administrator of The Season category. Dipuo Maboe has earned a nomination in this category for her exceptional contributions.

In recent weeks, Sundowns Ladies have garnered nominations on multiple prestigious fronts. After the CAF Women’s Champions League, six of our players earned spots in the Best Eleven. These include Andile Dlamini, Lebohang Ramalepe, Zanele Nhlapho, Boitumelo Rabale, Chuene Morifi and Refilwe Tholakele.

Furthermore, Refilwe Tholakele and Lebohang Ramalepe received nominations in the Women’s Interclub Player of the Year category at the CAF Awards, while Andile Dlamini secured a nomination in the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year category. Coach Jerry Tshabalala also earned a nomination for the Coach of the Year award.

Impressively, Mamelodi Sundowns has been nominated in the Club of the Year category for both men and women.
The CAF Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 11, 2023.
