The Brazilians Gear Up for Midweek Fixture Against Golden Arrows

Mamelodi Sundowns are at home again for a midweek fixture. They face Lamontville Golden Arrows for the return fixture which is set to play on Wednesday night at Loftus Versfeld.

Bafana Ba Style come from an emphatic victory in their backyard, where they won 3-1 against Sekhukhune United at the weekend. Heading to this midweek fixture, Masandawana will look to continue their winning streak, after having had two days to prepare for this meeting.

The last time the two sides met, Downs recorded a loss in KwaZulu-Natal. They will be looking to overturn the result at home and get record maximum points against a tough Golden Arrows opponent. Speaking to midfield maestro, Jayden Adams, ahead of the match, he admitted to expecting a difficult encounter which is a must-win for his side.

“We expect a physical and athletic team. They are well coached and we saw how the result was the last time we met. Defensively, they are really good and have always given us problems on the attack. So, it’s going to be a good game, one we are explaining about.”

The midfielder also encouraged the Yellow Nation to come out in numbers to support the team. He said: “the supporters must expect a very good game. We are going to bring our A-game and we hope to see them at the stadium rallying behind us.”

Mamelodi Sundowns will do host Lamontville Golden Arrows on Wednesday evening. Kick-off has been scheduled for 19H30, live on SuperSport TV.

Hard fought victory. The officiating was horrible,Matthews as kicked many times in the first half and no yellow card was issued to any Arrows players in the first half.Legitimate goal was disallowed,i just don’t who disallowed between the ref and his assistant because there was no offside flag raised.Non existent penalty was awarded, the ball never touched Mudau’s hand, even if it had touched it that was natural position when a player is tackling. It looked like the ref was picked from a shebeen. That idiot should be suspended,it looked like he was making show his favorite team wins the league. We also didn’t make things easy to ourselves, after red card instead of playing safely we continued playing at the back.I can’t comprehend how we analyze our game and ask ourselves why is it difficult for us to keep clean sheet these days.We concede goals because of our unforced errors. There is no way you can concede goals when you play away from your goals. We really need to correct that part of our game.
