They have the points and the goals, it’s not in our hands- Coach Pitso Mosimane

The top of the table clash with Kaizer Chiefs has arrived and there is no turning back, Mamelodi Sundowns are three points behind the log leaders. The match takes place at Orlando Stadium at 18:00.

Coach Pitso Mosimane emphasised that it is a big game and people are saying that it is a title decider.

The fixtures have been coming every second and third day for the Brazilians and have had a strenuous effect on the players that has been evident with the injuries.

“They have been playing after five or four days. We are more disadvantaged, they are a well-rested team when was the last time they played against Celtics I think. It has been difficult, we are not going to cry over this, we’re gonna fight for this, we’re gonna go for it and we’re gonna give our best and it doesn’t matter who is on the team sheet, we will go for the best as injuries do happen.”

The win for Masandawana against Arrows in their last outing closed the gap and a win will see them on the same number of points which will make for a great ending to the 2019/20 season. Coach Mosimane also alluded that the Brazilians have been in the same situation before and they know how to win the league but the most important part is how to manage the players in a challenging situation like the bubble. He commended the players who have responded when they were called upon and are scoring goals.

They are however missing their most important player, their top goalscorer, “we are missing a very important defender in our team, injuries are there and we will see what we will do. It is not in our hands, they have the points, they have the goals but we can overturn it,” concluded Coach Pitso Mosimane

Coach go and do the coaching, players go and play, fans go and support. Chiefs is like any other team which is prone to a win, lose, and or draw. No reason to fear them. Last we play was Monday we won and today is Thursday, at least a day or two of rest. We can’t complain. Our troops must just step up and fight for this last presented-chance of the league. Just never go sleeping in the first 10 to 15 minutes, That will be suicidal as they have pacey mid-fielders and upfront.Goodluck.
