Unbeaten Ladies secure resounding win

Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies Team continued their remarkable run as they maintained their unbeaten record with an emphatic 8-0 win over Tsunami Ladies at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Ladies team Head Coach Jerry Tshabalala was happy with the result but felt that he has seen his side perform this season:

“It was not an easy game but the manner in which we prepared for the game helped us to be victorious on the day. We scored eight goals and tactically we were better than the team we came up against, its good for us to keep scoring goals.”

“Overall, I do believe the girls have played better, I had to make a few changes to the starting XI but it’s a good thing when other players are raising their hands saying they are here to play.”

Rhoda Mulaudzi was ruthless once again in front of goal, bagging 6 goals to add to her impressive tally this season. Thembelihle Masibi and Lerato Tshabalala both scored a goal each.

The win over the weekend leaves the Ladies at the top of the SAFA Women’s National League table, four points ahead of second place TUT.

I watched the match for the ladies, they are good, they play for the badge . Can some one help me , l was not schooled much, if someone scores 6 Goals in one match they say has scored what? l only know to define two goals and three goals. May be it was not common during the days when terms were allocated. But l realized these girls play possession football more than some psl teams. Congratulations Ladies

The ladies team is very professional…they did not do the showboating tricks even though they were 8-0 up ..they still had the hunger to score more and to be honest they could have matched the Powerlines Score of 24-0 by the male team. Congratulations ladies…..Next year its going to be a bit tough with JVW team elevated to the league
