“We Need the Three Points to Keep Going” – Zuko Mdunyelwa

With the Easter weekend done and dusted, Mamelodi Sundowns will be back in the touchline on Tuesday. They travel to Durban to face Durban City at the Chatsworth Stadium.

Masandawana come from a home fixture against Chippa United, having won 4-1. They will march on to the next fixture with the confidence of that win, also while they fight to get as many points as possible to retain the top of the tally position. They will also be looking to complete a league double against their Durban City counterparts, after winning 3-1 in the first round at home.

On the other hand, the Durban-based side will also head to their home match with their confidence on a high, having proceeded to the Nedbank Cup final. Speaking to defender, Zuko Mdunyelwa, he stated it will be a difficult match, especially with both sides coming in with confidence.

“I think the mood in the Durban City camp is very high, given they have advanced to the Nedbank Cup final. They know their strengths and capabilities. It’s also very important for us to understand that it’s an away game and we need the three points to keep going. We have the momentum so we just have to keep going,” he said.

We would like to invite all our supporters to come and support us in Chatsworth on Tuesday. We need them as the 13th man to encourage us with the singing. We will also ensure that we make them proud.”

Mamelodi Sundowns will go head-to-head with Durban City in the Betway Premiership. The fixture has been set for Tuesday night at the Chatsworth Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 19H30, live on SuperSport TV.
