Mamelodi Sundowns ladies team were recently handed the winners trophy at an event held at the SAFA headquarters in Nasrec, Agnes Nkosi who is the Captain of the side had a few words to say after having a great season.
“Winning the trophy came with a lot of hard work from all the players. We all gave our best. It was never easy. We had strong opponents that came well prepared. Most of our tough matches were played away. We managed to be strong and consistently switched on for every game. What was key for us was that we took every game as our Cup final. Coach Jerry continuously reiterated that during training. We trained harder to prepare for what awaited us on the field of play hence we were able to win the league undefeated with neither a loss nor draw winning all our games,” said Nkosi.
After a gruesome season without a loss or a draw, the Masandawana ladies have earned themselves a spot at the CAF Women Champions League.
“We truly are grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Women’s CAF Champions League. We are excited to face the best teams in Africa. We have resumed training. Our end goal in mind is to win the CAF tournament and retain our SAFA National Women’s League Champions title. We are already on our sixth week with preparations for the big stages,” concluded Nkosi
To our Captain fantastic Agnes and Coach Jerry and this amazing record breakers Mamelodi Sundowns ladies team we as amaSandawana supporters we say Big thank you for the trophy let the President enjoy it and you deserve more frm him with you guys truly the sky is the limit 👆👆👆…..Sam
It is very sad to note nothing is being said about our fallen hero Motjeka Madisha. May your soul rest in peace Soldier. I know we cannot change what happened and I don’t have all the details about the accident…but if the club had a celebration, it is not safe to arrange transport for players to-and-from their venues. ..Anyway, a dark cloud has befallen our beloved Sundowns and I hope we remain strong to overcome these adversities.
Once again, nothing about the passing on our best defender, is it Sundowns policy? Very disappointed to learn about the news from other websites. May the soul of Madjika rest in peace.
I really do not know why our beloved team is doin this, it’s as if they expecting someone to come and say this is not true. It’s embarrassing to be updated by other websites regarding our own fallen hero. This morning on eNCA they even showed our website, disappointed that Sundowns is not saying anything abt his passing, we do not know how the players are doing, are they getting counseling or is it business as usual, not all of us happens to be around Chloorkop.
