Allende Geared Up for Last CAF CL Group Stages Action

Mamelodi Sundowns hosts Coton Sport on Saturday for Match 6 of 6 in the CAF Champions League Group B. Bafana Ba Style’s Chilean attacking Midfielder, Marcelo Allende gave an update on the team’s preparations for the fixture and his Champions League experience.

Allende shared the importance of the upcoming clash and how the preparations are going. “It’s going to be a challenging game against Coton Sport, and we have prepared well for it with the team. Every Champions League game is difficult, but at Sundowns, all games are important, and we go into every game to win.”

Bafana Ba Style are leading  the group B Champions  log with eleven (11) points from three wins and two draws in the five games they  played. Although they have already qualified for the Quarterfinals, the squad is prepared to put on a good performance and ensure that they finish strong at the top of the log.

 

Allende has delivered impressive performances in the competition. The Midfielder netted a goal during Masandawana’s  home game against Al-Ahly which ended in a 5-2 victory for the Pretoria side.

Masandawana’s skillful l player spoke about his Champions League experience and mentioned that he was surprised by the level of play in the competition and that he didn’t expect it to be high. He added that has enjoyed travelling and playing on different pitches.

“I am happy to be at Sundowns because Mamelodi Sundowns is not only a big team, but the winning spirit is admirable because we want to win all matches and competitions”, said Marcelo, as he communicated that he is happy with his decision to come to South Africa and play for Mamelodi Sundowns.

Mamelodi Sundowns encourages the yellow nation to come in numbers to support Bafana Ba Style on their quest to collect three points in their last match for the CAF Champions League group stages before they move on to compete in the quarterfinals.

Mamelodi Sundowns will face Cameroonian side, Coton Sport this evening (1st April 2023) at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium. The Champions League fixture is scheduled to kick off at 21h00.
