Coach Manqoba Mngqithi speaks about the planning they have for every five games.

Mamelodi Sundowns played their third game of the year in a space of seven days as they took on Baroka in Polokwane. Masandawana registered their seventh win of the season in the DStv Premiership. Goals were scored by Lyle Lakay and Themba Zwane.

Coach Manqoba Mngqithi shared his thoughts on the game against Bakgakga and said, “In our planning for the season we put out that we would like to achieve twelve points in every five games and in the first cycle we got thirteen points and in the second one we got eleven points and that gave us what we want we want to achieve.”

The schedule for Masandawana keeps increasing as they have qualified for the group stages for the CAF Champions League in January therefore the fixtures are piling up.

“I am very happy with the group, the coaches, the players and everyone around the team have worked hard. Our conditioning department has done well as they have kept the boys very fresh and strong. This is just the beginning and we have a very long way to go, we just need to keep focused and make sure that our feet are on the ground,” said Coach Manqoba Mngqithi.

The next match for the Brazilians is a Pretoria derby against SuperSport United on the 16th of January at 15:00.

Thank you coach… Good win yesterday. We would like to know though as supporters what is the issue with Kermit Erasmus. He plays, and then he doesn’t. One game here and then one game there. Nothing gets explained to us. And during your pre-match and post match they fail to ask you relevant questions regarding your change in the lineup which would then allow the explaining of his absence. Even with Zwane, it was just speculated, nothing official about his absence.
