Coach Rulani Mokwena Looks Ahead at TTM Clash

Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Tshakhuma FC in the semi-final of the Nedbank Cup this afternoon only a few days after claiming a dominant victory over rivals Orlando Pirates. This is the second time the two sides face off this month, after meeting on the 6th of April at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium, Masandawana were victorious on the day coming out as winners with a 3-1 scorline. A win on Sunday will seal a spot in the final against the winners of Saturday’s semi-final, Chippa United. The Brazilians are the defending champions of the Ke Yona cup and will be going out to make sure they defend the trophy they won last season.

Coach Rulani Mokwena spoke about the clash and said that “We try to profile the opponents and when we do that it is important to profile the individual players. A lot of the teams in the country have a similar profile and what becomes the turning point is the individuals and the characteristics they possess, that is why it is important to predict the line up they will have.”

The game will be played at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, where Masandawana boast an impressive record domestically, having not lost a game at home this year.

“When you look at TTM in their last game against TS Galaxy, where they won two-nil they made a few changes because the previous match was against us. They kept the spine of the team and I think more or less they will keep the same.”, concluded Coach Rulani Mokwena.

I do not know why sundowns coachs find interesting in Goss, every time I see him in goal, I know that we are going to have a bad result. He should be transferred, look how he approached penalties, he move out even before players kick the ball, a very useless goalkeeper.

Hardluck boyz. I just couldn’t stomach watching the penalties. After missing so many clear chances in the 120 minutes, I knew today was just not our day. The game against Pirates took so much away from the boyz. Hardluck boyz, we can’t win all the games. It’s very clear that the team need to be rotated. Let’s concentrate on the league and CCL.
