Mamelodi Sundowns’ Diski Team are eyeing a victory in their meeting against the Chippa United Reserves set to take place on Sunday morning at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
It is early days in the Reserve League but as the league reaches its fifth encounter of the 2026/27 campaign, the table is beginning to take shape. With three victories and just one defeat from their opening fixtures, the young Brazilians sit fifth on the DStv Diski Challenge tally. Not only do they have an opportunity to move to the top three at the end of matchday five, they also have a chance to assert their known dominance against a struggling Chippa United side.
Masandawana come from the back of a tight 2-1 victory against TS Galaxy, courtesy of Simphiwe Mlondo’s brace. Their Chippa United counterparts on the other hand, recorded their third defeat against Sekhukhune United.
This means Bafana Ba Style will be facing a hungry Chippa United side. Obviously, this encounter promises to be exciting. The hosts will look to be aggressive and grab an early goal to force the visitors to chase the game. Meanwhile, the Chilli Boys will look to disrupt the order and grab their second win of the season.
The Mamelodi Sundowns Diski Team will hosts the Chippa United Reserves on Sunday morning at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 10H00.
