Diski Team Gear Up for Reverse Fixture Against Sekhukhune United

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Diski Team will be back in action this weekend when they play host to the Sekhukhune United Reserves in the second round fixture on Saturday morning at Tuks Stadium.

The young Brazilians’ last encounter was on the road, where they grabbed all points on offer, all thanks to Selwyn Stevens’ late goal to help them snatch back the lead. This result saw them winning their second match in a row following the 2-0 victory against Magesi FC.

Their Sekhukhune United counterparts, however, dropped points in a 2-1 loss against the Orlando Pirates Reserve. While the hosts will be looking to make it three in a row, Babina Noko will be searching for a victory after the loss.

This encounter will be the second time the two sides meet. A month ago, in Babina Noko’s backyard in the Vaal, the two sides shared spoils with a 1-1 draw. While Masandawana had taken the lead, courtesy of Bennet Mokoena’s penalty shot, later in the game, Sekhukhune United managed to level matters in what was a heated game. In the reverse fixture, the same intensity is highly likely between the two sides. While Bafana Ba Style will be looking to close the gap between them and the first-positioned Orlando Pirates, Sekhukhune will be looking to return to winning ways.

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Diski Team will host the Sekhukhune United Reserves on Saturday morning at Tuks Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 10H00.
