Mamelodi Sundowns’ Diski Team will be looking to claim three points at home when they host the Lamontville Golden Arrows Reserves on Saturday morning at Tuks Stadium.
Bafana Ba Style come from dazzling the Amazulu Reserves this past weekend in a 3-0 victory in a fully-packed Princess Magogo Stadium. Coach Tiro van Rooyen lauded his side for a positive result on the road. He also highlighted the confidence the players have following the victory.
“Last week was a very important game after we struggled to find rhythm and momentum in Gqeberha. We went into the Amazulu game with a good result but we tried to improve the performance. The boys are also in good spirits. It’s very good for their confidence, to get back-to-back and we will try our best to get positive results moving forward,” he said.
They will look to continue their winning ways this weekend when they host Abafana Be’sthende in their backyard. The visitors have not been getting desired results in the league, which has seen them 16th on the log. Coach Tiro has, however, praised Arrows’ performances, despite their results, warning his charges to be weary of the wounded KwaZulu-Natal side. He further stated that every side desires to defeat Mamelodi Sundowns, so he anticipates a tough fixture on Saturday.
“Although bottom of the log, they have got players that are really good. They have three influential players that have tasted top-flight football. They are bottom of the log but not in terms of performance. They have been a high-performing team that has been playing very good football. The results have just been not going their way.”
“Every game that Mamelodi Sundowns play feels like a cup game, just on what the badge represents. So, we need to be concentrated and at our best in every single game because every team could be at their best against us and we need to be weary of that,” he concluded.
Mamelodi Sundowns’ Diski Team will do clash against the Golden Arrows Reserves on Saturday morning at Tuks Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 10H00.
