Mamelodi Sudowns are set to play their last home game in the Betway Premiership as they continue their quest to defend their league title. They will host Siwelele on Saturday afternoon at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
Masandawana come from the back of a 1-1 draw in their midweek fixture against Kaizer Chiefs. They head into this game looking to get all points on offer. Looking ahead to the match, defender, Divine Lunga stated the team is geared up for this fixture.
“The boys are in a good mood even though we didn’t get the results we desired against Kaizer Chiefs. We are, however, upbeat for the next game and the objective is to collect maximum points on the day,” he said.
Bafana Ba Style play against a Siwelele side that has been doing well. They also come from back-to-back victories. Lunga said knowing the kind of team they’re playing against, Downs won’t rest in their laurels.
“We know Siwelele have been doing well in the past few games so we don’t expect an easy game. The league is about to come to an end and we are aware that every team wants to end the season strong. We expect a tough Siwelele side, one that has been doing well. We are also ready for them. We will bring our A-game and make sure to collect maximum points.”
Lunga concluded by encouraging the Yellow Nation to come out in numbers. He said: “we would like to encourage the Masandawana family to come out in numbers on Saturday. We need their support and we hope to make them proud.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will do clash with Siwelele FC on Saturday afternoon at the Lucas Moripe Stadium. Kick-off has been set for 17H30, live on SuperSport TV.

Just saw the league fixture and we are the only team playing on the 12th so,if they are able to change our fixture why can’t they at least change all the fixtures to also be played tomorrow at the same time or if the brains of the league management functions properly, why can’t Pirates play tomorrow at the same time with us because they are behind with games played. If the league was not managed by old useless people they should have made only teams vying for league play at the same time and those that are battling relegation also play at the same time respectively.Something is not right,on the other hand we have made our bed by not playing for goals instead we played for possession, so we must lay in it.We can’t try to play for goals in the last two games when we had 28 games to do so.We allowed Williams together with Kekana to make us play negative football.
Where is Fawaaz Basadien, is he injured? I was hoping the coach would try him in that left-side central defence. I know he tried Divine Lunga in the central defence against TS Galaxy in the Nedbank Cup and it backfired badly. Even Rhulani tried Divine in the central defence against Swallows and he just couldn’t adapt. Hopefully Fawaaz was going to be better than Ndamane, even Lebusa was way better than him. The boy just doesn’t inspire confidence, and we’ll kiss the Champions League goodbye as well if he’s going to play. Lethlaku played so well against Siwelele and I’m just hoping he’s going to keep his position in the team. Each time Sales play, his performance keeps dropping. On another day, we could’ve easily beaten Siwelele by more than ten goals and reduce our goal difference, but the coach and our defence decided otherwise. But anyway, I’ve already conceded that the league is gone, and we lost it against Stellies. My slim hopes I hanging on the Champions League
