The Brazilian Ladies’ remarkable season has seen them remain unbeaten in the Women’s National League, where they sit top of the table with a staggering 66 goals scored and a convincing points tally of 57 at the close of the weekend.
A special mention must be made of the goal-scoring phenomenon Rhoda Mulaudzi with another 5 goal haul this weekend.
An ecstatic Jerry Tshabalala’s was full of praise for his Ladies who can wrap up the League in the coming weeks;
“Overall great performance from the girls, if we keep on scoring goals like this, it’s a good thing for everyone. I think the preparation was key. When we prepare to play combination play and it happens in a game situation, as a coach you should take that as a bonus.”
“We are taking it one game at a time. Next week we are going away to Coal City Wizards, should we get three points from Coal City Wizards, we will be the new champions of the South African National Women’s League.”
With the possibility of being crowned champions next weekend, the Ladies are more focused than ever and ready for their next opponents!
The table-topping Ladies’ next game is against the Coal City Wizards at Witbank Rugby Stadium. Kick-off will be on Saturday afternoon @ 15h00 (CAT).
