The recently-crowned Telkom Knockout champions have a mixed record against Saturday’s opponents, with 1 win, 1 loss and 1 draw in their last three league encounters against Polokwane. The most recent affair between the two was a 1-1 draw played in February 2019.
Polokwane City enter Saturday’s tie with no wins from their last eight league games, their most recent outing against Maritzburg United ending in a 1-0 defeat on December 8.
Saturday’s tie will be The Brazilians’ last league fixture of 2019 and they will look to end the year on a high with a win to help close the gap on to the top of the table.
