Kermit Erasmus has scored two goals in five starts for Mamelodi Sundowns. The goal he scored against Stellenbosch was his fiftieth in the Premier Soccer League.
It has taken him one hundred and seventy-three appearances to make it to the city goal club. Romeo spoke about this milestone and said that ” It’s a good feeling! Hopefully, the next fifty comes in fewer games and I am hoping to climb higher and to see where I will be when my time to retire comes.”
Romeo is currently sitting on number fourteen in the list of the PSL all-time goal scorers and has played for four teams in the league. The stocky built forward has a goal to score thirty goals this season and with the way he has started, it shows that he can achieve such and be closer to chasing that record of being the league’s best scorer.
“Stats are very important as it shows the hard work you put in behind closed doors and the sacrifice you make to achieve goals that you set for yourself,” emphasised Erasmus.
