Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the 2026 Hollywoodbets Super League Amplified when they take on Richmond United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Brazilians head into the fixture brimming with confidence after securing back-to-back victories in their opening two matches, scoring ten goals while keeping consecutive clean sheets.
Forward Boitumelo Rabale believes the positive atmosphere within the squad has been a key factor behind the team’s impressive start to the campaign.
“The spirit is very high in the camp. We want to win everything and this is the beginning of everything. Everyone understands the responsibility that comes with wearing this badge and we are all working hard to make sure we continue setting the standard.”
Ahead of the clash against Richmond United, Rabale believes Sundowns Ladies must impose themselves early and execute their game plan with intensity.
“We plan to press them high and suffocate them in their half. We want to make it difficult for them to settle into the game and then capitalize on the opportunities we create. We have worked extensively on our pressing structures and transitions, and the team is fully committed to executing the game plan.”
Fellow forward Lelona Daweti echoed Rabale’s confidence, highlighting the quality of the team’s preparations during the week and the players’ readiness for the challenge ahead.
“I believe we trained well this week as a team. The intensity has been excellent and everyone has been pushing each other to improve every day. Personally, I can say I am more than ready for the challenge, and I know my teammates feel the same way.”

“Richmond has always been a tough team. They compete hard and always push us, so we know we have to be at our best.
