INJURY BLOW FOR SUNDOWNS

Mamelodi Sundowns’ defenders Mosa Lebusa, Rivaldo Coetzee and Ricardo Nascimento will not take part in the Absa Premiership clash with Baroka FC at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Tuesday.

Lebusa is suffering from flu but is also suspended for the clash.

The technical team thought there was a major boost when Ricardo Nascimento looked to have recovered his from injury.

Nascimento completed training on Monday but complained of slight pain and will be sidelined for this match as the team will not take any chances. Rivaldo Coetzee was unfortunate to get a knock at training and will also miss the match.

Thokozani Sekotlong and Soumahoro Bangaly will remain on the sidelines. Swelling on Sekotlong’s ankle has subsided but he is still receiving treatment. Bangaly is nursing his heel and Achilles tendon. George Lebese is much better and is now training after being sidelined by a knee injury.

Despite that, coach Pitso Mosimane still has a good squad to field against the recently crowned Telkom Knockout champions. A win over Bakgaga will take Sundowns to the top of the log.

Rivaldo relationship with injuries seems very intimate. Very strange how bad-luck this player is. Wish all of them a speedy recovery. Good-luck tonight. Need the win.

I wish them all quick recovery and am sure the team picked tonight would fill up the void perfectly. I hope Dennis is okay as well. Go #Sundowns for the victory!!! #DownsBaroka #AbsaPrem

  3. I think Pitso only think about winning
CAF champions league which makes to lose the appetite for any other cup, I believe we will end this season empty
    handed
we need a coach whose hungry to
    win.. not a coach
    who value only
    two competition with
    the intention to go to
    club world cup

Not true what you are saying. Pitso needs every trophy. This is not Jungles unilateral decision. There is a brand here to respect.

A little bit of rotation of players is indeed required to maintain their level of match fitness. Don’t you agree coach?

  7. A debt of gratitude is in order for setting aside an ideal opportunity to talk about this, I feel emphatically about it and adoration adapting more on this point.

I wish our team all the best for their forthcoming crucial match against the Libyan side, to the fellow supporters it would be appreciated if we have to criticise the technical teams tactics n appyroach we do so w/o negatively commenting about our players, bearing in mind the aim is to build n not to demoralise our players and/or coaching staff.KBY
