Thapelo Morena who suffered a fracture and ligament damage in a Nedbank Cup last 32 match against SuperSport United is on his way back to full fitness.
The 26-year old is currently in camp with the side as they prepare to resume the 2019/20 season which was halted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the break came at a right time for the speedster as it gave him time to recuperate and not worry about missing matches. It has been almost five months since he has been on the sidelines and Coach Pitso gave feedback on Morena’s recovery.
” I am impressed with Thapelo, he is coming up well and is running with the boys, he still has stiffness in his ankle, we can see sometimes after a heavy session, he limps a little bit” said Mosimane.
The Randfontein-born has played thirty games this current season and will be hoping to add more before the season ends.
“It means he is not ready, he can run normally and control the ball, he is on the last phase of his rehab” concluded the Head Coach.
