Mamelodi Sundowns face off with Marumo Gallants in their next Betway Premiership fixture which takes place on Tuesday evening at Loftus Versfeld. This will be the second home fixture for the Brazilians, who will be battling for the eighth consecutive league title.
Looking ahead of the match, Lesiba Nku, who is no stranger to the Bloemfontein-based side, previewed the second match of the season.
“I have watched the two games they have played so far. I think they are playing very well, they are just not lucky to win their games. We must however, not undermine them just because they haven’t registered a win. We must just go with our plan and we will be victorious,” Nku said.
When asked on what the home side should expect from Dan Malesela’s outfit – who has coached Nku before – he stated that Gallants play similar football as Bafana Ba Style, predicting that the game will be difficult.
“He likes to play ‘tiki-taka’ football. He likes to kick the ball too much, which is what we do at Mamelodi Sundowns, so it’s going to be a competitive game. We will manage as we are ready for the game,” he said.
Nku concluded by encouraging the Yellow Nation to come to the Stadium, saying: “we would like the supporters to come out in numbers to come and support us on Tuesday, so they can enjoy our good football.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will do host Marumo Gallants on Tuesday evening at Loftus Versfeld. Kick-off is scheduled for 17H30, live on SuperSport TV.
