Masandawana Ready to Do Battle With Usuthu

Mamelodi Sundowns will be looking to put the setbacks of last weekend’s Nedbank Cup exit behind them as they focus on the upcoming top of the table clash against AmaZulu in the DStv Premiership. Masandawana will do battle with Usuthu who is in position two behind them with a six point difference. The earlier clash this season between the two sides saw one of the games of the campaign so far, with seven goals being scored and Bafana Ba Style notching up three valuable points after winning by four goals to three.

Coach Rulani Mokwena explained the importance of the game and shared that “It is a very important game, a game that has a profile with utmost importance for us. We said before that these games are a cup final for us at this moment and we have to approach it as such. It was not easy to prepare for this one in particular after a difficult and unfortunate result against TTM in the cup, we have to dust ourselves off and show mental resolve and dig deep to produce a good result.”

Usuthu have been on a great winning streak as they have won all their last five games, on the other hand, Masandawana has been the more dominant side between the two in the last five meetings.

“When two very good teams meet you have no chance if you do not play very well, we have to play very well tomorrow and give ourselves to win the match against a very good, well-coached team. They are a well-coached side because they have a clear identity, the schemes are clear, the build-up structures are clear, the high pressing instincts are clear, the final third preparation in terms of how they build the attack is clear. They have good players who influence both phases of the game.”

“It is going to be interesting to see but we must be able to give our best performance. Our best performance is the only way we have an opportunity to win against this good side”, said Coach Rulani Mokwena.

Just for one scold your so called big players if they’re not giving or doing what’s supposed to be done on the field of play,to me its seems you are afraid of them because they do the same mistake in almost every games and you knew whom I’m talking about.
Dolezer didn’t wait for last 15 minutes to substitute if you are not performing even in the first 25 minutes of first half he would substitute you that’s why those players were not casual. Another plus for us is that Maboe is back our middlefielders will not be bulldozed by uSuthu.I don’t want aMaZulu to come nearer to us even though they’re my home team let them join us or Arrows in Champs league by coming second on the log.Kby forever

I wish the yellow nation can stop putting themselves under such unnecessary pressure . To the fans they must just try and understand that winning most of the games does not give them the right to expect the impossible from the players . no team is winning all games, let us learn to live with pain as part of our lives and stop running our mouths faster than our heads e.g Man city lost to Chelsea . Win or lose Sundowns is the best .

Our bench looks weak, its only Kapinga who can come in n change da game for us if it happens dat da first 11 is not perfoming,Vilakazi,Mvala,Motupa r slow n wouldn’t add da much needed spark in our attack…….I wonder wat is it dat Magkalwa n Mkhuma did wrong for them to be treated this way

I would say good result even though I only watch the last twenty minutes because of other commitments I had and my reuter is dataless.
I saw the miss by Modiba with goalkeeper to beat and if he chipped that ball we would talk about the won now because the goalkeeper was already down that’s the downfall of our SA players they rush things instead of being composure.
Lastly to aMaZulu they must give Bennie a long time contract he’s doing a good job and I don’t remember uSuthu being number or with over forty points in a season phela iteam yangakithi lena but my blood is yellow since 1986.
Lastly if Downs can just adopt a sense of urgency not passing for too long at the back we can kill almost every team unexpectedly, Kby forever
