Masandawana return to Dobsonville to face Arrows

Its matchday twenty-six and Mamelodi Sundowns take on Golden Arrows at Dobsonville Stadium. After four games in the BSE and having collected three points and one loss, the clash against Arrows is a must-win at all cost to put pressure on the log leaders Kaizer Chiefs who they face in four days. Abafana Bes’thende are currently sitting in tenth position with thirty-three points after twenty-six games.

In the last ten meetings with Arrows the Brazilians have only lost twice and have won eight games and the last time Arrrows registered a win was in the first round of this season and Masandawana will be out to make sure that they do not allow them to do a double over them. In the current season, Masandawana has faced Arrows twice, once in the league and in the Telkom Cup semi-final which led to Downs going into the final and winning our first trophy for the season.

The clash between the two sides has always produced goals and the last time no goals were scored was in the 2015/16 season. Masandawana has scored sixteen goals-against Arrows since that draw and has conceded five goals. The game promises to be another humdinger and the Durban side has not recorded a win in their last five games in the league games.

The match takes place at 18:00 and will be broadcasted on SuperSport 4.

What a boring game,we will not beat Chiefs with this performance of today and our coach is just watching this circus.Good football or many passes at the back doesn’t win you games but possession, pull up your socks this game is very easy.

Well done boys we desperately needed this win.Good job by technical team for trying the Meza and Mahlambi combination, they fought very hard,I think they will kill Chiefs on Thursday if given a chance to start. The only changes needed is for Mkhulise to play the role Serino was playing,we restrict him by playing him deep, the boy enjoys to run with the ball and take on defenders and Zwane play where Mkhulise played and Jali to partner Kekana or Coetzee.Serino should be benched also he is not performing. The technical team is killing Kekana by overloading with games and not resting or substituting him the poor guy can’t even cross the ball something need to be done. What makes us to leak goals at the back is,we trying to play smart at the back knowing that we don’t have pace to defend when dispossessed,Lebusa play ball forward when under pressure unlike Madisha and Nascimento. The good passings of Nascimento can all help us in the middle where he will be able to spray through balls to our pacey attackers.
