Masandawana Secure Silverware In Soweto

Mamelodi Sundowns were successful in progressing to the final of the four-team tournament at the FNB Stadium on Saturday to lift their first ever Carling Black Label Cup trophy.

Bafana Ba Style were emphatic in their pursuit when they came up against AmaZulu FC in their opening game of the day in the tournament. Masandawana showed no mercy in their 3-0 victory against Usuthu to advance to the final showpiece of the Black Label Cup final.

It took Cassius Mailula five minutes to get his name onto the scoreboard with a deflected shot that beat goalkeeper Veli Mothwa and hit the back of the net.

Masandawana were dominant in their approach during the whole encounter, though they failed to take advantage of the chances that they created to extend their lead.

The Brazilians carved their second goal in the second half, after being substituted on to the field, Surprise Ralani found his teammate Gaston Sirino, who linked up with Haashim Domingo to tap home from close range. The third goal in this clash came from Ralani with a spectacular curl into the top corner to give Masandawana a shot at the final showpiece.

Bafana Ba Style faced Orlando Pirates following the Buccaneer’s victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the second game of the day at Soccer City.

The Brazilians overpowered a 10-man Orlando Pirates 4-0 in the final of the Carling Black Label Cup to get their hands on the first-ever Carling Black Label Cup.

Downs academy graduate Sphelele Mkhulise scored and Sphelele Mkhulise scored the opener after twenty minutes into the game. After the half hour mark the Tshwane giants doubled their lead through Grant Kekana from a short corner move that was played.

Shortly after the celebrations, Mailula found his way to net his second goal of the day to give Sundowns a third in the 35th minute. The 21-year old attacker curled past Pirates goalie Siyabonga Mpontshane midway through the second half to seal Masandawana’s victory in the one day tournament.

Bafana Ba Style will be back in action again later in December to continue with their campaign.

What a performance by the boys in both Amazulu&Pirates games,Sundowns scoring 15 goals in 4 games is what the doctor has ordered. I must give credit to the head coach I have been very hard on him &I believe credit must be given where it is due.I know that he gave credit to the boys but I say to him give that man a Bells.I liked what he did to Cassius Mailula ,called him by the touch line &whispered something to his ears, and I am sure now he understands that what’s important is a winning team than a scoring individual. But to tell the truth if that boy remains grounded and humble he is going higher &higher with his career.Hard luck to the ladies for coming second best. But this thing of always idolizing &treating the Arab countries with kids gloves&make them our semi gods leaves a lot to be desired. The referee was under pressure to blow &give a card to every Sundowns player kind of unsettled the ladies&were very frustrated. But Rhonda Mulaudzi should have done better than that a record for all the wrong reasons last final of Champions league got a red card in an where there was no pressure at all in centre of the park. And now yesterday she got an unwarranted red card near the 18 yard of the opposition knowing very well that VAR is no one’s friend should have known better. An unfair advantage is always given to the North Africans why last year was Egypt &now this year is Morocco. Is this not the reason we are having a president coming from the COSAFA REGION?Our very own president Motsepe.Zambia,MozambiqueBotswana,Namibia&Tanzania can host any event if South Africa is always getting the nod.Why Southern African can’t have a united block to block this monopoly.Otherwise over the weekend you made my day&the revenge was very sweet against Pirates.Thank you thank you Brazilians..

What has come to mind is the brutality of players to their opponents. What were the intentions of Xoki as to be so vicious and that was what we call a career threatening challenge. For Erasmus to applaud that was unprofessional.I know that he is bitter and has a lot of hatred towards the technical team but not everyone at Sundowns is his enemy. As for Lepasa complementing his teammate with a hug, leaves an unswerable question do our opponents plan brutality on our players..Sundowns is playing football like an orchestra, the days of shoe shine and piano 🎹 are back. Its just we always vouch for the inclusion of Zungu and Mbule on the starting line up.On that day Zungu kept on losing the ball or fouling an opponent. What surprised me is that these 2 are very fat in the middle of the season.Hayi Mbule,Motupa and Zungu respect the brand of Mamelodi Sundowns and shed those kilos, what message are you sending to your fellow teammates? We complained about favoritism this &favoritism that but you are not prepared to change, why?

Coach don’t worry about a lazy and idiot player like erasmus, the boy is got social issues and mental problem. He left the very same Pirates without telling them and signed with a team i think is in France and said he wants to play for teams who are serious,he is not 100% normal. We press from the front and he wants other players to work for him and give him the ball.On a lighter note, very impressed with the team that played against Pirates, the line up was made up the people who are aggressive by nature,no player can bully Mkhulise,Mokoena,Maboe,Mbule and Domingo, they suffocated Pirates hence most Pirates resorted to animals behavior. We a team that skillful and more comfortable on the ball even under pressure. That Nkosi boy is talented he needs to be integrated quickly.Mbule is the best passer of the ball, and love his arrogance on the ball and he doesn’t have reverse when in possession of the ball.Very much impressed with Kapinga and he needs to be given far chance as he is the one to take over from Zwane. We have a young and very talented defender in Mohamme.Coach you must have faith in the future of the team and you will go places. As much as we criticize you when you are doing wrong this now,you deserve all the credit. The team spirit is high in the team you can tell from the body language and effort of the players. If we can keep the same working spirit we will this league with 7 games to spare. Please coach you are on the right track don’t disappoint us.We know we can’t win all our games but performance and hunger must always remain the same.We are not a one man team therefore no player should indispensably, when player A is not available we should put in equally cable player B,C AND J.We don’t want to hear the nonsense we lost a game because Shaulile or Zwane were not available when we all know that is impossible for a player to play every game of the season.
