I was listening to the sports show on Metro by Andile, and while I’d like to believe he isn’t biased towards Sundowns, it’s hard to ignore the signs. During the discussion about Betway’s sponsorship details—covering its history with Castle, DSTV, and now Betway—he couldn’t help but bring up Sundowns’ dominance. He even asked the guest whether winning cups should really factor into comparisons between teams. I thought the focus was supposed to be on how Betway can benefit the league and enhance it, not on Sundowns’ success.

There are presenters on SuperSport who are clearly biased, and some of us have taken to switching off the commentary to listen to radio instead. Sundowns’ dominance seems to bother a lot of people, and even mentioning them strikes a nerve. I wish we could continue to give them something to think about, as I believe some of these commentators wield their influence unfairly against Sundowns. It’s disappointing, but I’m confident they will eventually recognize that Sundowns is at the forefront due to professionalism and hard work. We were once ridiculed by certain club officials, but now those officials are silent, while we face criticism from sports presenters instead.

All the best to the team for the up & coming season 2024 – 2025 and with the pre-season matches hope that all the boxes are being ticked in terms of the game plan for the season from the technical team. To us supporters let’s stand behind the team like never before because some are already writing our down fall due to the changes in the coaching staff but our team is still going to shock them. Sky is the limit
